CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY IS ABOUT TO MAKE NFL HISTORY IN WEEK 18

When the San Francisco 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks this Saturday night, Christian McCaffrey will have the chance to accomplish something no running back has ever done.

McCaffrey, the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year, missed the majority of the 2024 season due to bilateral Achilles tendonitis and a PCL sprain. Although there were concerns about his health heading into 2025, he silenced all his critics by staying on the field and putting up MVP-caliber numbers.

With Week 18 set to begin this weekend, McCaffrey has 1,179 rushing yards, 890 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns.

McCaffrey needs only four catches this Saturday to bring his total on the season to 100. If that happens, he’ll become the first running back in NFL history to have three seasons of at least 100 receptions.

If we want to go one step further, McCaffrey is five catches away from passing Ladainian Tomlinson and having the third-most receptions for a running back.

No. 1 seed on the line.

The winner of the Seahawks-49ers game will claim the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

San Francisco has clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs twice under head coach Kyle Shanahan. The team reached the Super Bowl both times before falling short to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the Chiefs out of the playoff picture, this might be the year for the 49ers to snap their championship drought.

If the 49ers are going to take care of business in their regular-season finale, McCaffrey has to be great.
